Councillor Jason Farr to Run in Hamilton East—Stoney Creek for the Ontario Liberal Party

TORONTO – Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, has announced that Hamilton City Councillor Jason Farr will be the Ontario Liberal candidate in Hamilton East—Stoney Creek.

“As a City Councillor Jason saw first hand the Ford Conservative failures in public health, transit and a lack of affordable housing, Jason is on our team to reverse those cuts and expand opportunities in his community,” said Ontario Liberal Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Jason’s advocacy and municipal roots will give this city a strong voice at Queen’s Park and in our party. He will make a fantastic MPP for Hamilton East—Stoney Creek.”

Farr was elected to City Council in 2010 after a successful 22-year career in Radio and Television in Hamilton. During his time on Council he was a strong advocate for housing, local jobs, transit and Hamilton’s revitalization.

“I am humbled to be seeking the nomination as the Ontario Liberal Candidate for Hamilton East—Stoney Creek. Steven Del Duca and the Ontario Liberals are the only team focused on making Ontario the best place to grow your family or business,” said Farr. “I have been proud to serve at city hall and I will continue to fight for Hamilton families at Queen’s Park.”
