Liberals in Bay of Quinte Nominate Emilie Leneveu as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

Liberals in Bay of Quinte have nominated Emilie Leneveu, an entrepreneur and advanced biotechnologist, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Emilie is a community leader who will make an excellent representative for Bay of Quinte,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “I’m excited to have her on our team as we prepare to take on Doug Ford in the next election.”

In 2018, Leneveu graduated as an advanced biotechnologist and valedictorian for Loyalist College. A Bay of Quinte and Canadian Top 30 Under 30, Leneveu is a director on the Quinte Regional Science and Technology Fair Board and the Centre for Workforce Development Board and a youth advisor on the education sectoral committee of CCUNESCO. She is also an advocate for positive mental well-being and a speaker through Jack.org.

I am excited to be running as a candidate under 30 as I believe that youth representation is required at all levels of governance and that sustainable practices and intersectional thinking are key pillars to successful policy making; not only to provide a voice for youth, but for all, equitably,” said Leneveu. “I am extremely passionate about our riding and improving our community services, virtual and in-person. If you make a promise, I’ll hold you to it!
