Andrea Hazell Ready to Deliver Results for Scarborough—Guildwood

SCARBOROUGH, ON – Today, Andrea Hazell, the Ontario Liberal candidate for Scarborough—Guildwood, hosted an office opening to kick off her campaign to become the next Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for her community. She was joined by dedicated supporters, volunteers and community members.

“Since its inception, our riding has been represented by strong Liberal voices, and it’s vital that our community continues to be represented by someone with the drive and determination to build a better future for Ontarians and those that call Scarborough home,” said Hazell. “I have a winning track record of delivering results for our community, and I’m ready to bring that same drive and determination to serve the people of Scarborough–Guildwood at Queen’s Park.”

In the five days since the writ was issued for the by-election in Scarborough—Guildwood, Hazell and her team have already connected with tens of thousands of residents to share the Ontario Liberal plan to make life better, and more affordable, for families.

“As the President of the Scarborough Business Association, I’ve worked tirelessly to support the needs of Scarborough by creating good jobs, attracting vibrant, innovative businesses, and keeping residents and businesses connected and engaged,” continued Hazell.

“This includes the recent success of securing $150,000 in grants to revitalize businesses impacted by the construction of the Crosstown LRT. I’ve built a foundation that supports newcomers to Canada and helps women enter, and succeed, in the workforce. And for many years, I’ve been a passionate fundraiser for the Scarborough Health Network – because Scarborough deserves its fair share of healthcare funding.”

“Twice this community has said no to Doug Ford’s agenda of privatizing healthcare, shortchanging our education system and carving up the Greenbelt. As the next MPP for Scarborough–Guildwood, I will do what the Conservatives won’t: fight to reduce the cost of living, for good affordable housing, and to improve our hospitals and schools, build reliable public transit, and reduce gun violence.”
