Dr. Adil Shamji

Don Valley East

Liberal Critic for: Health; Housing; Northern and Indigenous Issues

Since graduating from Western University and completing medical school at the University of Toronto, Dr. Shamji has devoted his career to helping people. After having spent his earlier years providing healthcare on Indigenous reserves across Canada, Adil most recently served as an Emergency Physician and the Medical Director for 11 homeless shelters in the City of Toronto. He is a trusted expert in matters of public health and medicine. In addition to his role as a physician, Dr. Shamji worked as a faculty member in the school of medicine at the University of Toronto. He has fought at the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic and the opioid crisis, and looks forward to continuing his advocacy as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Don Valley East.
