Liberals in London—Fanshawe Nominate Zeba Hashmi as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

April 23, 2022 – Liberals in London—Fanshawe have nominated Zeba Hashmi, a community worker and a strong advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“As a community worker, Zeba continues to fight to improve services for residents and make London—Fanshawe a better place for everyone, said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “She will be a fantastic MPP and I am very happy to have her on our team.”

Zeba Hashmi is a passionate community builder who has been caring for people and striving to improve people’s lives for over two decades. She also has a BA in Sociology & Family Studies from Western University and an MA in Education Administration.

She has offered her time tutoring adults with learning disabilities at Hutton House, served meals at the Salvation Army, worked with the St. Vincent de Paul Society on projects supporting food insecurity, and has served on the City of London’s Diversity Inclusion Anti-Oppression Advisory Committee.

Hashmi will be a strong voice for the residents of London—Fanshawe, and looks forward to addressing their concerns while at Queen’s Park.

“I hear so many stories of resilience in London—Fanshawe,” said Hashmi. “Whether it’s families facing housing issues, family members having to work multiple jobs to put food on the table, or seniors concerned about extended health coverage, I hope to learn from residents, provide support, and advocate accordingly.”
