Terry Flynn nominated as Ontario Liberal Candidate in Niagara Centre

March 28, 2022 – Liberals in Niagara Centre have nominated Terry Flynn, a paramedic and the former Deputy Lord Mayor of Niagara-on-the-Lake, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“As a paramedic, Terry has spent decades fighting for his community and helping those who need it most,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Terry will be a fantastic MPP for Niagara Centre and I am very happy to have him on our team.”

After completing the paramedic program at Niagara College, Flynn went on to work for the Niagara Emergency Medical Services, and is currently the Superintendent of Operations. He is part of the management team that oversees 400 paramedics who handle 90,000 calls for service in the Niagara Region each year.

In addition to his career as a paramedic, Flynn also served residents as a Town Councillor for Niagara-on-the-Lake for 21 years between 1997 and 2018, with nine of those as Deputy Lord Mayor.

“I cannot wait to get to work for our community and I look forward to fighting for the residents of Niagara Centre at Queen’s Park,” said Flynn. “Alongside Steven Del Duca, I will fight for improved healthcare, better schools, and real action to make life more affordable for Ontarians and those that call Niagara Centre home.”
