June 2, 2021 – Liberals in Etobicoke Centre have nominated Noel Semple, an award-winning law professor and community advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.
“Noel’s dedication to his community, along with his passion for building a better future for Ontario, will make him an outstanding representative for Etobicoke Centre,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “I am happy to have Noel on our team as we prepare to take on Doug Ford in the next provincial election.”
For almost 10 years Semple and his family have established deep roots in Etobicoke, and are actively involved in community organizations and local activities. He serves on the Board of Directors of South Etobicoke Community Legal Services, a Legal Aid Ontario clinic serving low-income residents. He also spearheads Better Dundas Coalition, a local residents organization dedicated to improving road safety along Dundas Street West in Etobicoke.
Semple believes that protecting publicly funded universal health care, fighting climate change, and creating opportunities for families and hard-working individuals begins with smart, evidence-based public policy and a government with the confidence to take action.
“I am delighted to be nominated as the Liberal candidate for Etobicoke Centre,” said Semple. “It is an honour to be part of Steven Del Duca’s team, and I’m looking forward to being the voice of the people in our community.”
