Statement from Steven Del Duca on Portuguese Heritage Month

Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, issued the following statement on Portuguese Heritage Month:

“Luso-Canadians are an integral part of our country, and our province.

“And one remarkable Luso-Canadian is an integral part of my life — my beautiful wife Utilia Amaral — who arrived here with her family from Portugal at the age of seven.

“During Portuguese Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich heritage of Luso-Canadians and all that they continue to do to make Canada a better place for everyone.

“On behalf of myself and the Ontario Liberal Party, I wish everyone celebrating a Happy Portuguese Heritage Month.

“I look forward to joining all the festivities in person next year!”
