Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, issued the following statement on Filipino Heritage Month:
“Today on Filipino Heritage Month, we join with our Filipino-Ontarian friends and neighbours to celebrate their heritage, and the important contributions they make to our province.
“Filipino-Ontarians give so much back to their communities, many serving as frontline healthcare heroes throughout the pandemic. Today, we thank them for helping us all get through these challenging times.
“While the last year has been incredibly difficult for us all, I know Filipino-Ontarians will be able to safely celebrate their heritage this month. From my family and the Ontario Liberal Party, I’m wishing you all a happy Filipino Heritage Month!”
