Ontario Liberals Tap Proven Leader and Strong Community Advocate as Ontario Liberal Candidate

MILTON, ON – Galen Naidoo Harris, a community leader who has spent years serving the residents of Milton, is the next Ontario Liberal candidate for Milton.

“Galen always puts his community first, and has built a career on helping Milton families.

I am thrilled to have this experienced young leader on our team, and I look forward to welcoming him to Queen’s Park where he will build on his service to residents and represent the needs of his generation.”

— Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals

Galen Naidoo Harris has called Milton home since birth and understands the importance and value of community service. Naidoo Harris has worked locally with the provincial and federal governments, small businesses, and at Wilfrid Laurier University.

As Manager of Community Affairs for MP Adam van Koeverden, Naidoo Harris provided front-line support to thousands of local residents when they needed it most, including during the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Naidoo Harris is experienced in governance, and has sat on several local boards, including the Conservation Halton Foundation Board, where he has served as director for the past five years. He is also a dedicated community volunteer in Milton and the son of former local Liberal MPP and cabinet minister, Indira Naidoo Harris.

“Doug Ford’s Conservatives have neglected the people of Milton and continue to put their well-connected insider friends ahead of local families who need help finding a family doctor, putting their kids in childcare, and paying for skyrocketing rent increases.

I am proud to call Milton home and look forward to finding ways to lift up every local family Doug Ford has let down.”
