Ontario Liberals raise over $1.2M, post greatest year-end fundraising result ever under new fundraising rules

TORONTO, ON — The Ontario Liberal Party raised $1,213,181 in year-end fundraising, exceeding the one-million-dollar goal set by new Leader Bonnie Crombie. 7,604 donors contributed towards the strongest year-end fundraising result ever by the Ontario Liberals under the new fundraising rules introduced in 2017.

“Ontario Liberals are back, and we’re putting in the hard work necessary to defeat Doug Ford in 2026 and replace this scandal-plagued government with a team that’s on your side,” said Bonnie Crombie. “We know we have to close the fundraising gap with the Conservatives. I’m so grateful to everyone who contributed to doing exactly that.”

“We still have a lot of work to do between now and 2026 to grow our team, catch up to the Conservatives’ fundraising and offer Ontario voters a plan they can trust, but this year-end fundraising total represents a strong start,” continued Crombie.

This year-end fundraising achievement builds on other Ontario Liberal milestones in 2023, including paying off the 2022 campaign debt in record time and out-fundraising all other political parties combined in Q3, with over $1.46 million raised between July 1, 2023, and September 31, 2023.
