Rural Summit – Online Registration

Virtual Online

Saturday, November 20, 2021

8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Free

Join us for a day-long provincial dialogue on all things rural as the Ontario Liberal Party returns to its rural roots.

In the morning, we will have two panel discussions. The first session, The State of the Liberal Brand in Rural Ontario, will look at the status of the Liberal brand in rural ridings and what we need to do to earn back the trust of rural citizens.

The second panel, A Growing Rural-Urban Divide, will look at the dynamics at play – on the ground, online, and on social media – that are leading to increased polarization among rural and urban citizens and what we can do to close the gap.

Former Agriculture Minister and MPP for Peterborough Jeff Leal will moderate a fireside chat with Ontario Liberal Party Leader Steven Del Duca at lunch.

We will start off the afternoon with the third panel, Returning to Relevancy with a Rural Lens on Policy. This session will explore how we can open a meaningful dialog and partnership with rural citizens so we may solve the complex issues of our times together.

Finally, we will end the day with a brainstorming session, Blue Skies for Rural Ontario. This session will be your opportunity to provide ideas and solutions on how the Ontario Liberal Party can better represent and support the needs and aspirations of rural citizens.

We hope you will join us for what promises to be a very important and dynamic discussion of rural issues!
