Statement from Steven Del Duca Celebrating Armenian Independence Day

Today the people of Armenia, and Armenians in Ontario and around the world, celebrate the 29th anniversary of their independence.

Armenia and Ontario have had a long and strong relationship and many shared values.

Ontario’s Armenian community has made important contributions – our province has truly been enriched by the contribution of our Armenian friends and neighbours. Today is a great day to reflect on the achievements of the Ontario community.

This year we will celebrate independence virtually but in years to come I hope to join the Armenian community, in person, to celebrate.

On behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party, I wish all those celebrating a happy Armenian Independence Day!
