Details

The OLP AGM will be held from Friday September 20, 2024, to Sunday September 22, 2024, at RBC Place London, 300 York Street, London, Ontario.

The Ontario Young Liberals (OYL), Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission (OWLC), and Ontario Liberal Rural and Northern Commission (OLRNC) will hold their AGMs in conjunction with the OLP AGM.

Registration

Early bird registration fees end at 11:59pm on Friday August 23. Register now before fees go up!

The early bird registration fees are:

  • Regular: $325.
  • Monthly payment option: $175 upfront, plus a new monthly donation of $22 (or $22 increase to current monthly donation) for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Youth: $105.
  • Student: $90.
  • Senior: $195.
  • Low income: $225.
  • Observer: $1,000.

After the early bird expires, the registration fees are:

  • Regular: $450.
  • Monthly payment option: $175 upfront, plus a new monthly donation of $26 (or $22 increase to current monthly donation) for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Youth: $165.
  • Student: $140.
  • Senior: $275.
  • Low income: $225.
  • Observer: $1,200.

Agenda

The AGM will run from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. The agenda will include:

  • Election readiness workshops and campaign panel discussions led by party experts.
  • Policy workshops and discussions as we plan for the next campaign platform.
  • Elections of our party’s new executive council.
  • Discussions and votes regarding changes to the party’s constitution.
  • AGMs for the Ontario Young Liberals, the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission, and the Ontario Liberal Rural and Northern Commission.
  • Regional meetings and discussions regarding your riding association.

Elections

The Ontario Liberal Party, the Ontario Young Liberals, the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission, and the Ontario Liberal Rural and Northern Commission will elect new executives at the AGM.

Please see the notices regarding details for standing as a candidate. The deadline to become a candidate is 11:59pm on Friday August 30.

Proposed Amendments to the OLP Constitution

Please see the Notice for details regarding the submission of constitutional amendments.

The report from the Constitution Committee will be published 15 days prior to the AGM.

Delegate Elections

Everyone who registers and pays the OLP AGM registration fee shall automatically be deemed to have submitted an intent notice to stand for a voting delegate position, unless the person qualifies for an ex-officio delegate position or registers as a non-member Observer.

All intent notices (registrations) submitted prior to 11:59pm on Friday August 2 shall have equal standing in contention for the available delegate positions in the relevant affiliated association, such as a constituency association, student club, or women’s club.

If an affiliated association has more intent notices submitted prior to 11:59pm on Friday August 2 than available delegate positions, the Returning Officer shall follow the procedure in section 5.3 of the Rules of Procedure for Annual Meetings, including potentially scheduling a Delegate Election Vote for the affiliated association.

After Friday August 2, unfilled affiliated association delegate positions shall be filled in chronological order of registration.
