Liberals in Kitchener Centre Nominate Kelly Steiss as Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

KITCHENER, ON – Kelly Steiss, a respected management professional with a track record extending over two decades of public service to Kitchener’s residents, has been officially nominated as the Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the upcoming Kitchener Centre by-election.

“Kelly has spent a lifetime of service to the residents of Kitchener Centre, and has the experience and drive needed to be a phenomenal MPP,” said MPP John Fraser, Interim Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party. “We are lucky to have Kelly on our team and I look forward to welcoming her to Queen’s Park.”

With a remarkable career spanning over two decades in municipal government, Kelly Steiss has dedicated her life to serving the community of Kitchener. Throughout her tenure, she has led numerous teams to engage and connect with residents, embodying the true essence of public service.

Steiss is also profoundly committed to volunteering, consistently empowering individuals and organizations to unlock their full potential. Her expertise has earned her positions on various Boards of Directors, such as Focus for Ethnic Women and Independent Living Waterloo Region. She also holds the role of President at the Waterloo Rotary Club and was selected as a member of the Mayor’s Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

“Families in Kitchener Centre are looking for a leader who will work tirelessly to make their lives just a little bit easier,” said Steiss. “As your MPP, I will fight to tackle the healthcare and affordability crises head-on, and champion innovative solutions that will build a better future for Ontarians and those that call Kitchener home.”
