Stephanie Bowman Nominated as Ontario Liberal Candidate in Don Valley West

TORONTO, ON – Stephanie Bowman, MPP for Don Valley West and Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) critic for Finance, Jobs and the Economy, has been officially nominated as a candidate for the next provincial election.

“For years Stephanie has faithfully represented her constituents, elevating their voices in the legislature and bringing thoughtful guidance to our party’s economic policy.

I look forward to having Stephanie’s continued expertise at our caucus table. Ontario’s Liberals are fortunate to have her as our candidate for Don Valley West!”

— Bonnie Crombie, Leader of Ontario’s Liberals

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to represent my community as the MPP for Don Valley West—my home riding for 30 years. With serious questions looming about how the Ford Conservatives are running our province—with more focus on helping their insider friends than the people of Ontario—the next election will be a critical one.
I am excited to run again as your Ontario Liberal candidate in Don Valley West. Under Bonnie Crombie’s leadership, we will bring people a hopeful and compelling vision for our province in the next election.”

Stephanie Bowman is a mom, an accountant, a former bank executive and a respected community leader. Before becoming an MPP, she served as a member of the board of the Bank of Canada, where she assisted with the oversight of capital projects and corporate governance.

As an MPP, Bowman has put forward several pieces of progressive legislation designed to help families and make life easier for Ontarians. This year, she tabled the Cutting Taxes on Small Businesses Act which, if passed, would cut the small business tax rate by half.

A strong believer in the power of community and education to make the world a better place, Bowman believes everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Throughout the years, she has partnered extensively with organizations committed to building a strong economy, improving access to quality education and empowering diversity and inclusivity.
