Statement from the Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission on the Overturning of Roe v. Wade

The official ruling from the US Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade has sent ripple effects of anger, disbelief, and fear around the globe. We know that in Canada, particularly in Ontario, we are not immune to those who believe reproductive health should be limited. The Ontario Women’s Liberal Commission agrees that the people of Ontario should have safe and accessible reproductive health, including abortions. We stand behind Ontario Liberal MPPs and we call upon all political leaders, particularly men who are still disproportionately represented in politics, to stand up for safe and accessible reproductive health in Ontario.
