Liberals in Nipissing Nominate Tanya Vrebosch as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

November 24, 2021 – Liberals in Nipissing have nominated Tanya Vrebosch, the Deputy Mayor for the City of North Bay and a long-time community advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“For years, Tanya has worked hard to represent her community and ensure residents have access to the essential supports they need and deserve,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “With Tanya as their MPP, families in Nipissing will have someone fighting for them at Queen’s Park.”

Born in Corbeil, Vrebosch has spent her adult years in North Bay and has been working hard from a very young age to better her community. Her drive to help others and give back has led her to significant work with Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing (LIPI), the Santa Fund, and her career as a Supervisor at Ontario Works. Vrebosch is a proud Franco-Ontarienne and has served on North Bay’s City Council since 2008 with two terms as Deputy Mayor, where she’s a proven fighter and known for getting things done.

Vrebosch’s commitment to her community drives her passion for addressing the serious issues faced across the province surrounding mental health and addictions. She recognizes the need her community faces for leadership and change in combatting the opioid crisis and will fight fiercely for a better Ontario.

“I am truly humbled by the support I’ve received to date from friends, family and supporters throughout the Nipissing riding,” said Vrebosch. “Having grown up in Corbeil, lived in North Bay, and worked throughout the region, I understand the challenges of Northern life and will fight to ensure Northern voices have a seat at the table.”
