Liberals in Spadina—Fort York Nominate Chi Nguyen as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

June 3, 2021 – Liberals in Spadina—Fort York have nominated Chi Nguyen, a social innovator and community builder, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Chi is a strong leader who is always fighting to improve the lives of those in her community,” said OLP Leader Steven Del Duca. “She will be an exceptional MPP for Spadina—Fort York and I am happy to have her on our team as we fight for a brighter and better future for Ontario.”

Nguyen has devoted her professional life to improving the lives of Canadians, developing public policy, engaging citizens, and striving to end systemic and cultural inequality.

Nguyen has an MSc in Health Community and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and has gone on to hold senior roles with some of Canada’s most respected institutions and charitable agencies; most recently, Director of Social Innovation Canada, United Way Toronto, the National Association of Women and the Law, the Toronto Women’s City Alliance, White Ribbon Canada, MASS LBP, the CBC, and many more.

“With deep roots here in Spadina—Fort York, I won’t ever stop fighting for the best quality of life for all of us,” said Nguyen. “Our residents deserve a representative who will partner with them to make real progress on the things that matter most to us: a government you can trust, and investments in the infrastructure we need: housing, childcare, and public education.”
