Liberals in Pickering—Uxbridge Nominate Ibrahim Daniyal as 2022 Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

July 12, 2021 – Liberals in Pickering—Uxbridge have nominated Ibrahim Daniyal, a small business owner and community leader, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“Ibrahim is a strong leader who is dedicated to improving the lives of those who call Pickering—Uxbridge home,” said OLP Leader, Steven Del Duca. “Ibrahim will be a fantastic representative at Queen’s Park, and I am very happy to have him on our team as we take on Doug Ford.”

Daniyal’s interest in public accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility led him to pursue his Master’s Degree in Administrative Sciences, a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Netherlands, as well as a Certificate in Financial Underwriting. With his experience in international financing for infrastructure development, he is well-suited to meet the needs of provincial governance.

Daniyal lives in Pickering—Uxbridge with his family, and as a respected community builder and strong advocate for social justice, he is committed to making the political process work for all Ontarians.

“I’m honoured to be nominated as the provincial Liberal candidate for Pickering—Uxbridge, and I’m ready to get to work, making sure we invest in the care that our community needs,” said Daniyal. “Steven Del Duca and the Ontario Liberal Party will put the needs of Ontarians first, supporting all members of our society. As your candidate, I will work hard to ensure that the people of Pickering—Uxbridge have everything they need to succeed.”
