Nirmala Armstrong is a respected lawyer, former Regional Councillor for the City of Markham, and dedicated community advocate with over 30 years of experience. A graduate of the University of Toronto (Political Science Specialist), Queen’s University Faculty of Law (LL.B.) and Osgoode Hall Law School, (Masters of Law). Nirmala has used her legal expertise to help thousands of individuals, including low-income families, ensuring equal access to justice.

Nirmala has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Queen’s Golden, Diamond, and Platinum Jubilee medals, for her outstanding community service. A proud wife, mother, grandmother, and former co host of Inside the Region with Nirmala Armstrong on 105.9 FM, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as the Ontario Liberal candidate.
