Ford’s Boozedoggle is Shortchanging Ontario’s Children

OTTAWA, ON – Karen McCrimmon, MPP for Kanata—Carleton and Ontario Liberal Critic for Education, Colleges and Universities, released the following statement in response to the recent cancellation of 56 child-care projects:

“In Doug Ford’s Ontario, there is enough money to blow a billion bucks to bring beer into corner stores one year early, but not enough money to invest in building the essential services families need — like new childcare spaces where kids can learn, grow and thrive.

“While Doug Ford continues to reward his rich friends at your children’s expense, Bonnie Crombie and Ontario’s Liberals are ready to bring back a government on your side — one that will build new childcare spaces, cut class sizes, and put education back at the centre of our economic plan.”
