“Today the FAO confirmed that Doug Ford is cutting education spending, and abandoning our students and education workers in the process. By only spending half of what’s needed to maintain the current quality of education, Doug Ford is shortchanging our children’s future.
Ontario Liberals would provide the funding needed to not only maintain Ontario’s quality of education, but improve it. In addition, we would spend $8 billion over five years to build and repair schools as step one in addressing the repair backlog, so our children can learn in the best spaces possible.
Doug Ford’s Conservatives are allowing the system to crumble by chronically underfunding it, because they don’t believe in publicly funded education. Ontario Liberals will take the action and provide the funding needed to improve our publicly funded education.”
