TORONTO – Steven Del Duca, Ontario Liberal Party Leader, made the following statement:

I was happy to hear the Minister of Health say there will be a pathway for internationally educated healthcare professionals to contribute to the fight against COVID-19.

This is something I called on the Premier to do last week.

Foreign educated healthcare workers should be assessed and deployed so that we can make full use of their talents.

This is something we should absolutely be doing during this crisis, but I hope the government will fast-track healthcare credentials for these workers once the crisis is over.
