Liberals in Brampton East Nominate Jannat Garewal as Ontario Liberal Party Candidate

March 23, 2022 – Liberals in Brampton East have nominated Jannat Garewal, a small business owner and education advocate, as their Ontario Liberal Party (OLP) candidate for the next provincial election.

“As a small business owner and teacher, Jannat knows how hard the past few years have been for so many Ontarians,” said OLP leader Steven Del Duca. “Jannat is an active community leader who understands the needs of Brampton East. She will make a fantastic MPP.”

Garewal is a small business owner and an educator teaching students from JK to Grade 12 in Brampton East. She has also volunteered and worked with the Ontario Liberal Party for over a decade where she served as the Regional Advisor of the Golden Horseshoe.

Garewal is very passionate about advocating for education issues and the youth of Brampton East. As a small business owner throughout the pandemic, she believes it’s important to bring forward concerns and pain points small businesses have been experiencing while also addressing the lack of funding in healthcare. Garewal wants to be a strong and progressive voice for her community, and she is willing to bring her experience and expertise to the table.

“I am ready to bring results to Brampton East and advocate for change,” said Garewal. “We need a strong representative who can stand up for our community. It’s time to move Brampton East and all of Ontario forward.”
