Del Duca Asks Ontario Retailers And Institutions To Include Education Workers In Front-line Treatment

Steven Del Duca, Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party made the following statement:

With back to school around the corner, teachers, education workers, caretakers, bus drivers, principals, support staff and all others working in our schools are facing a stressful and uncertain work environment.

Many retail stores and other institutions have made life easier and safer for our front line workers. Today, I’m asking retailers and institutions across Ontario to extend that same support to our front line education workers.

That could mean allowing education workers to access special shopping hours, the ability to skip the line, discounts on services and products, increasing local child care availability and more.

Soon they will be on the front lines of the recovery. How quickly the Ontario economy can reopen and stay open will in large part depend on moms and dads trusting that their children will be safe at school.

Together we stand with our front line workers across all sectors.
