Ontario cannot afford to let its students down
The current semester of students is already facing the crisis head-on, but what about next semester?
Families are feeling financially uncertain and many people have lost their jobs. Come registration for the next semester – or the first for many – that financial uncertainty may very well cause a sharp decline in enrolment.
That’s why today, we’re calling on Premier Ford to reverse his government’s past cuts to OSAP and restore funding to the 2017/18 level.
Ontario cannot afford to let its students fall between the cracks during the COVID-19 crisis. For everyone’s sake, we need OSAP funding restored now.
